first we want to go right to bill karins for a look at what's happening. bill, tell us more about this storm. >> there's been some good and some bad. the snow and the amounts were much higher-than-expected. that was the bad part of it. they did bring down some trees. additional power outages in new jersey and connecticut. the good with the storm is that the storm surge and as far as the beach erosion and the waves on the coast of the jersey shore were not as bad as expected. that's good. we didn't do a lot of additional damage in the areas hit hard by sandy. this almost looks like a tropical storm. you can see it's wound up south of nantucket right now. the worst of the winds is definitely down along cape cod. that's where it will continue this morning. look at the wind gusts, 50 to 60 miles per hour from provincetown down to nantucket. it will get better as the day goes on across all of connecticut, massachusetts and rhode island. the worst is over with. the storm is beginning to wrap in some warmer air off the ocean. all the big city temperatures are abo
